How it works
In 2018 the VE:Forum launched the VE:Awards. Judged by sector professionals, the awards showcase the very best Visitor Experience across the UK with winners and nominees recognised at our annual Awards Ceremony.
The Awards Ceremony is a great way to highlight the contributions of our front of house teams and the professionalisation of our sector. The VE:Awards focus on the achievements of organisations, groups & individuals and are open to everyone who is working within the Visitor Experience space.

Award Categories
Our awards and recognition focus on achievements made in the last 12 months and include the following categories:
Visitor Experience Team of the Year
This award recognises teams that have delivered consistently excellent service to their visitors, that have sought to do things differently, that support each other and who are just generally great! We are looking for teams who are innovative, dynamic and who represent the very best in our industry.
Visitor Experience Manager of the Year
This category focuses on the amazing managers working in our sector. We are looking for an individual who has excelled in their role, who is an ambassador and change maker. Passionate about their team, visitors, and venue this category recognises advocates for Visitor Experience.
Special Project of the Year
This award acknowledges VE teams that have delivered an exceptional special project. This could be the opening of a new exhibition, venue, pop-up, event, tour or festival. Or it could be the launch of a membership package, ticketing system, training programme or fundraising initiative. We are looking for VE led projects or a project where the VE team has been considerably influential. A broad category is a chance to tell us about the brilliant things that you do; projects that make you leaders in visitor experience.
Volunteer Contribution of the Year
This category highlights the contribution of brilliant volunteers – whether individuals or teams. We are looking to recognise volunteers who have gone ‘above and beyond’, who place visitors at the heart of the business, and who provide the kind of support that changes how a business can operate. This award is open to visitor experience organisations who are run either partly or entirely by volunteers.
Accessible Visitor Experience of the Year
This award recognises Visitor Experience teams who are focusing on making their attractions as accessible as possible. We are seeking to award unique projects and initiatives that go beyond basic accessibility and that seek to embed access into their organisation’s culture, whether physically, intellectually, socially or economically.
