Visitor Experience Seminar
The Visitor Experience Seminar acts as a platform for sharing best practices, inspirations at work, and insights about the sector. The seminar follows a fast-paced format of 10-minute presentations with speakers talking about a wide range of topics relevant to our industry.
Our speakers all work in the sector and will be talking about real projects and experiences, focusing on the transferable learning points we can take back to our organisations. Topics range from handling the aftermath of a terrorist attack, best practices for engaging visitors and employees to provide exceptional experiences and loyalty, increasing donation box revenue and learnings from opening new attractions and events.
Our speakers represent both the commercial and not-for-profit sectors, and we try to ensure a range of organisations are represented, from large nationals to smaller local organisations.
The seminar is open to anyone working in a role that helps ensure fantastic experiences for visitors and this event presents an excellent development opportunity for employees and management are encouraged to bring their teams.

TESTIMONIALS
"I have been a member of the VE Forum since its first meeting, and have found it to be a lifeline, particularly over this challenging year. The advice and experience we share is invaluable. We arrive together at different career points with varying responsibilities, but with a common purpose; and are able to openly share, unpick challenges, and evaluate together. We also know how to have fun, either at some amazing venues or during the lockdown online quizzes, which have been a joy!
The Forum is now broadening its focus and profile. Implementing an annual awards ceremony, focused around the often overlooked operational and visitor focused delivery, means that operations are now being seen as a core part of the museums, heritage and attractions jigsaw. The VE Forum is a unique and fantastic way of working together. I’m not sure what we did without it!" Sandra Lynes Timbrell

"Having been a member of the Visitor Experience Forum for some years, I can honestly say it is the best networking group I've ever been a part of. I quickly tapped into an amazing resource of visitor experience experts and made a few friends as well!
Everyone is so knowledgeable and willing to share experiences; you know you just have to pick up the phone to anyone, and they will go out of their way to help solve whatever problem you are having. The social meetups are great for catching up, and the more content-driven events such as the HACKS and the annual seminar are some of the most useful and practical interventions currently happening in the sector. Especially during the pandemic, when we have all been so disconnected and struggling with big challenges in our respective operations, the VE:Forum has been an invaluable community to be part of."
